Help make “Beyond the Bad & the Ugly,” the first-ever summit on Asian American stereotypes, accessible online—live and archived!
On Saturday, March 23, the crew behind Secret Identities will be hosting
Beyond the Bad and the Ugly: the first-ever summit on Asian American stereotypes in Los Angeles’ Japanese American National Museum. This groundbreaking event will bring together “an amazing group of Asian American artists, academics, advocates and critics for a candid discussion of negative and distorted images of Asians in U.S. popular culture — and how to address, erase or subvert them.”
If you are fortunate enough to be in the area for the event, you should get your tickets NOW, as there are only 200 seats available, and they’re going fast!
But if you won’t be able to attend, there’s a chance that you can view the entire event online, but only if they can to underwrite the cost of hiring videographers to shoot, edit and upload all of the sessions.
Here’s where you come in… If you can help them raise $7500 by March 22, 2013, then the world will get to witness this historic event. This Indiegogo campaign includes lots of perks for all of its funders, so don’t delay. CLICK HERE and help fund Beyond the Bad and the Ugly NOW!
